Welcome to my blog!!
I’m a Photographer based in Gauteng, but I work wherever my camera takes me whether it be locally or abroad.
I have studied Art & Design with Photography as one of my major subjects, BUT the learning process didn’t stop at College: with every photo session I strive to become a better photographer – I attempt to learn as much as possible – to stay on top of the game. I prefer to work with natural light wherever possible. I have been a photographer for close to 10 years. You are welcome to view some of my older work, prior to 2013 on my FACEBOOK PAGE.
I’m not going to bore you with my whole CV – I’ll rather tell you a bit about myself:
I love: cappuccino (or coffee for that matter), chocolate, dark chocolate cake, my jeans, levi sneakers, the seaside, vintage things, antiques, old classic movies and musicals, good music, good books, my dachshunds (Mocha & Liquorice), my family…and Photography (I’m addicted to my work!). I especially love shooting Film!
I am so grateful for the opportunity and the talent that the Lord gave me to do what I do best! It doesn’t feel if I have ever worked a day in my entire life!!
Thank you for visiting my blog, hope that you would stop by regularly!
PS: Celia van Niekerk Photography is the new page for Artistic Image Photography. After much consideration, I have decided to retire from wedding photography to concentrate on the studio which will include amongst other things newborn photography, maternity, kiddies, babies, families, couples as well as the much-loved glamour, fashion and boudoir photography. I will still be photographing in studio and on location.
As of 1 April 2015 I will only take wedding bookings from a direct referral of past or existing clients, e.g. their relatives or friends or vendors, e.g. venues, videographers, etc. that I have been working with on a regular basis.
I have met incredible people over the past 9 years as a wedding photographer, made awesome new friends and gained a whole bunch of loyal and MUCH APPRECIATED clients. Apart from that, I have learned so much about photography, business and people. The wedding industry made me a better photographer, BUT I have decided that it is time to move on. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for the opportunity you gave me to photograph your weddings.
